Connect to PEPPOL
Register your organisation on the e-invoice network so supplier invoices arrive automatically — and so you can send your own.
On this page
PEPPOL is the international network businesses use to exchange electronic invoices. Connecting your organisation to it does two things: supplier invoices start arriving in ByteBill on their own, and you gain the ability to send invoices.
How to connect
- Preferences → Connections → Add → Connect a business
- Sign in with BankID (or your national digital ID).
- Choose your organisation from the list of companies you're allowed to represent.
- Done. Your organisation now receives invoices over PEPPOL.
The BankID step is how we confirm you're actually entitled to act for that company. We can't take your word for it — nor should you want us to.
What happens next
Suppliers who send over PEPPOL will reach you from that point on. Nothing is backfilled: invoices sent before you connected went somewhere else and can't be retrieved retroactively.
If a supplier is still emailing you PDFs, you don't have to chase them — forward the email instead and ByteBill will file it. See Capturing receipts and bills.
This is what unlocks invoice creation
Creating and sending an invoice requires a PEPPOL identity — an address on the network that other businesses can send to. A PEPPOL connection gives your organisation one.
Once you're connected, see Creating and sending invoices.
Setting the active company, and disconnecting
Use Set active to choose whose invoices you're looking at. You can remove a PEPPOL organisation from the same menu — invoices you've already received are kept.
