The short version
This website sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and therefore no consent banner to click away.
That is a deliberate choice. A cookie banner is what you need when you are doing something with visitors' data that requires their permission. We would rather not do the thing.
What that means in practice
- No analytics platform — we do not know who you are or which pages you read.
- No advertising or remarketing pixels.
- No social media tracking widgets.
- No cross-site identifiers.
What the site does load
Fonts are served from this site itself, not from a third-party font service.
Video guides are hosted by YouTube or Vimeo, but nothing is requested from them until you press play. Until then you are looking at a still image served from here. Once you press play, that provider may set cookies under its own privacy policy — which is why we show you a notice on the play button rather than loading it silently.
The support form posts to our own infrastructure. It uses no third-party form service.
Server logs
Like any web server, ours records requests — IP address, timestamp, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string. This is used to keep the site running and to investigate faults and abuse. It is not used to profile you and is not shared for advertising. The logs are kept by our hosting provider, AWS Amplify, for as long as this site is hosted there. We only look at them to investigate faults or abuse.
The ByteBill app
The mobile app is not a website and does not use cookies. What it stores on your device — your session, your preferences and your PIN if you set one — is described in the privacy policy.
If this changes
If we ever add something that requires your consent, we will ask for it properly and update this page. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
